Republicans have maintained a majority in both chambers of the Ohio General Assembly (the state legislature) since the 1995–1996 session, or 30 years as of 2025. Hey, I'm in the same boat here, Republicans have been running the state for decades, after huge tax cuts for the ruling class we have a huge deficit. Now anything that benefits anyone but the ruling class has no chance of passing. Plus all the bullshit culture issues to distract.
