Cincinnati election results make history for their margins, appearing to leave GOP, Charterites in wilderness [View all]

CINCINNATI — A large field of candidates ran for Cincinnati City Council on Tuesday.

Twenty-seven people in total appeared before voters on ballots for them to select from, each with diverse backgrounds and political opinions on where to take the future of the city.

However, in the end, the nine candidates that won had one thing in common: They were all endorsed Democrats.

The results mean that Democratic dominance in the city is here to stay, at least through 2027, with the margin between ninth-place finisher Ryan James and tenth-place finisher Liz Keating not even close, at a margin of nearly 10,000 votes between them.
