Smith’s, a division of The Kroger Co., is charged excessive bank fees when Customers use Visa® credit cards at checkout. To help keep your grocery prices low, we’ve decided not to accept Visa® credit cards.
What payments will I be able to use at Smith’s?
We will gladly accept Visa® debit cards, including Health Savings Account debit cards. Plus Mastercard, American Express and Discover credit cards and debit cards. And as always, you can pay with cash or check.
How do I know if my card is a debit?
If your card can be used as debit, look for the word “debit” on the front of the card—typically near the issuer’s logo. Debit cards are typically linked to a checking, savings or prepaid account.
