It was a protest on the sidewalk along a busy street. The counter-protester was trying to "engage" my friend by asking questions while filming on his phone extended towards my friend's face, who repeatedly stated he didn't want to be filmed and was not engaging in any other way. My friend held out his hand to screen the phone, then the jerk said "If you touch me or my phone, I'll throw you in the street."

Given that cars were driving past, that very well could have been fatal.
