1. That's a great idea. But I'd also like them to get back to civics/government

Requirement. I don’t know if that’s not required nowadays or it’s just so poorly taught.

It was just a half year class. I knew most of the stuff already, I guess from History teachers or maybe grade school. Back then you got shuffled into groups early on in grade school where you had the same teacher all day. It wasn’t till junior high that we started rotating to specialized classes. I guess I got established into the smart class. It was kind of a small school and each grade had 3 classes. I never even thought about the situation. To graduate HS everyone had to take 1/2 year of Civics and for some reason I missed my usual class and had to take it with the “dumb” kids. What I discovered was the “dumb” kids were mostly the poor kids and most of them were plenty smart they just came from families that put no emphasis on education. Fortunately my parents did even though we were poor. Thinking back now I’d bet few of those kids grew up to be RWers. We were all white by the way. I think most of the Trumpers choose to be ignorant and have had it better than average and have some sense of entitlement.
