Gov. Reynolds, remove Steve King as campaign chair [View all]

(email from the Hubbell campaign)

Time and again, we’ve seen Rep. Steve King spew hateful, divisive rhetoric. And time and again, we’ve seen Governor Reynolds defend her campaign co-chair.

She's been confronted by her own supporters, and even Republican Party leaders who condemn his divisive, reprehensible actions. But the Governor continues to let him hold a top leadership role in her campaign.

Steve King's actions do not represent Iowa values, and Gov. Reynolds should remove him from his role in her campaign.

We need leaders in our state ready to stand up against hate and division and commit to bringing us together for a brighter future and the change that Iowans desperately need. Iowans are kind and giving and dedicated to bringing people together to make our state the best it can be, and that’s what our leaders should strive toward -- not defend and uplift the rhetoric designed to divide us.

Do you think Reynolds will finally get it as even Republicans condemn King? Any politician with an ounce of integrity would never had link themselves to King to begin with.
