4. Oats and wheat are rotation crops, for the most part.

I don't think there are "oat farmers", there are corn and bean farmers that use other crops in rotation.These other crops suppress weeds, prevent erosion, scavenge excess nutrients. They can increase production of corn by 15 to 20 percent and reduce the need for added chemicals on crops.
