On the one hand, good for her for pursuing this. Hope she makes a difference for female employees.

On the other hand this sticks out: Her salary was $173,000? And the guy they hired supposedly is getting more than that?

The median household income in IA is 53K. Gee, I can't imagine why people are bitter about some public employees wages.
