People who were mentally or physically disabled were targeted because they did not fit Hitler’s vision of perfect white people. The Roma people were also targeted, along with other minorities and any Germans who got caught helping the Nazis’ victims. The Republican goal of eliminating the prohibition against discriminating against disabled people smacks of Nazism.
