Idaho Governor Brad Little announces statewide stay-at-home order [View all]

Idaho Gov. Brad Little will order Idahoans to stay home as he ramps up efforts to slow the spread of coronavirus, he said Wednesday.

The order will last for 21 days. Essential activities, like going to grocery stores or picking up food from restaurants, still is allowed. Outdoor exercise near home is, too, with an emphasis on 6-foot spacing between individuals who aren’t members of the same household.

The order will be released later Wednesday, Little said, but it takes effect immediately.

So far, some cities and counties had already done the same though until now it was piecemeal throughout this very red state. This necessary step is surely going to make the Idaho deniers twist themselves right up. I only caught part of the presser but it was refreshing listening to the governor (even though Little is republican) behave normally while displaying leadership -- unlike the daily chest thumping from the rough beast-in-chief in the White House.
