In reply to the discussion: Thinking of moving to Florida [View all]That doesn't sound good. We do have a couple of other options (one of which is North Carolina). Obviously, we're not enamored of the current government but unfortunately all the warm states seem to be red. I may be wrong - but I don't think DeSantis can run again. Maybe Florida will elect a Democratic governor next time.

As a longtime FL resident, move anywhere else but here--our summers are 9 months long and brutally humid.
