They are Kaiser members living in Adams County. They really would like to get the shot but Kaiser is a joke--my parents are about number 40,000 on the list. Meanwhile people in their 60s are getting the shot. In fact we know some in their 50s who are not eligible, but nonetheless received the shot at Adams County. The state really needs to work with Kaiser to get the job done. If you've been to Kaiser you know they have a huge number of old, sick members. We really don't have a clue about what Kaiser is doing but whatever it is, it's not working.
We try the internet, enter a phone number and now receive up to 15 robo calls about medicare enrollment daily. I try to keep a perspective that this is only the second month of vaccinations. Certainly those who are eligible, no matter the age, should get the shot. But look around, older people in Colorado are not happy. News reports are that around 40% of those over 70 have gotten the shot. But the state has opened up the vaccinations to another phase without finishing the job on the first phase! Anger indeed!
Personally, I'm not worried about the shot. I'm careful, and things won't improve until more than 70% of people in the area--indeed the world!--get the shot. BTW, it's cool that you took i-76 to Adams county. I-76 from i-70 is probably one of the quickest routes in the Denver area. And Adams County is right on that road We could get there pretty quick if we took the expensive E-470 toll road. It's better to take the scenic, cheaper route through Brighton.
