I loved visiting the before Silicon Valley spilled over into it. It was this only place I could find crumpets before Trader Joe's sold them.

I offered to take my daughter on a movie scene tour. Mostly Vertigo and of course High Anxiety. Some Clint Driftwood.

I worked there for a while across the street from the pyramid building. That was the intersection of Chinatown, the financial district and Little Italy. IIRC.

I walked past the office of Angela Alioto, someone you do NOT want to tangle with in court, and the original "Bank of Italy" building, later B of A.

Pretty cool, literally, and one's opinion reflects oneself, which is why media find dirt and destitution, and nice people find the most unique place. (I know, "most unique" is some kind of offense against English, but it's late, and I needed a break from life in the woods, a different universe, it seems." )

P.S. The B of A building in Towering Inferno was a toy, and not very convincing.
