5. I've spent many long hours of my life on highway 99 in stop-and-go traffic.

More hours than that in Los Angeles, however.

My longest drive ever in stop-and-go traffic was a San Diego to Santa Barbara stretch. Traffic never let up. I was headed to San Luis Obispo.

North of Santa Barbara I had to stop, scramble down the cliff, and scream at the ocean. If anyone saw or heard me they probably walked away in a hurry.
