I love eagles, I keep an eye on at least half a dozen nests in my area. I watch birds a lot, we have many raptors and it thrills me every time I see one. Last summer I was at a farm and was outside every day trudging through the fields. A few bids seemed to recognize us after a while and wouldn't freak out when we were near. Some approached us. There was a pair of Merlins who nested in a tree near one of the plots, they would come by soaring slowly on a steady breeze... right up to me and just hang there, like twenty feet away at eye level, and look at me. It was magical feeling. They did this a couple times a week, all summer long.

I've encountered eagles who would follow me sometimes. I consider it their choosing when it happens more than twice. I never feed them, I don't even fish so there would be little incentive to follow me. It's kind of odd.
