3. Wow, hearing that theme music takes me right back. I can see the small living room I was in.

We got our first television in 1954. WFIL was about the only station we could get. I was about five years old. My older brother had just started first grade and I had to entertain myself. I watched bandstand religiously became a big fan of rock ‘n’ roll. I remember Bob Horn. He was kind of a dork. I remember when he fell into disgrace. I really didn’t know what the issue was. We got to know some of the kids dancing there through their introductions on TV.
