I don’t know how I’ve been missing these. I love animals. I have a couple of cats myself.

I used to walk across a river bridge on my commute to work and back and would always look down from the bridge to see whatever water fowl were around and turtles on the logs in the river below. It was my daily pause and mental refresher in the grind of the work week. I began equating the number of turtles with the quality of my day, even though there was absolutely no correlation. Still, counting 10 turtles became synonymous with a very good day.
