My wife and I moved here 10 years ago when she got a job and we fled Silicon Valley. We are working on getting my daughter to be able to stay. (Harder when you are not a high value employee.) Germany is different as to be expected. This is my 4th country to live in. Born in Canada, Crete, Greece for 2 years. A lot less stress here for us. But we are worried abut the fate of our retirement funds from the US. We are in negotiations for a flat so this looks to be permanent.
