a few weeks before his death, and passed it up because I didn’t want to make the drive. I was a sophomore in college, and had just sat down to eat lunch in the food service when I heard the news of his death. He had so many great songs; it bothers me that he’s best known for silly stuff like Leroy Brown, and Don’t Mess Around With Jim.
