With a lifelong friend who is also a big Kink's fan. The play covered the band's early years, including the Davies brothers and their family. The actors also performed many of their classic songs, along with some lesser known gems, with additional musicians on the sideline.

The play was funny and poignant, but I will remember it most of all as a joyous, raucous celebration of music I've loved for 60 years. It was a rock concert within a play, and brought tears to my eyes. I saw The Kinks perform live in the 1970's. They were great, but I enjoyed this even more.
