Sadly, during a brief attempt at normalcy I pawned/sold all my albums in 1982 in order to get a notch in my belt at work when asked to play golf with the team.

Well, I had been bragging a good game about my hole in one (they put my name on a plaque at the club in north Tampa) and had to get a set of clubs pretty quick.

I played a lot as kid in Florida, so I’m a decent duffer, but I sold my custom clubs earlier (you see where this is going, my albums were sacred), as times before the job were tough.

Anywho, long story short, I needed clubs, went to my dad’s pro guy where we used to golf and he custom fit a generic set in a day, $250 bucks. Man, that was way more than I made in a week at that point.

I had a decent collection. I worked and bought albums as a young hippie.

All clean vinyl. I loved my vinyl.

I had around 150 or so give or take. Went to one of the many swap places that dotted Florida at the time, found a guy and sold them all as he only offered 2 bucks a disc and he said he was being generous.

He’ll, I had money to even buy a beer after in the club.

Well big shot? 43 years later, I’m trying to rebuild for my listening room and the old body got bashed and battered as life sometimes goes, so golf is not on the menu, unless it’s chipping one in the backyard just to feel spry again.

Moments in time, thanks for letting me connect some synapses again.

Animals and Wish You Were Here are my 2 favorites for some reason…
