In reply to the discussion: I've been playing around with jewelry design recently [View all]dem in texas
(2,681 posts)15. Nice! I Like the Leaf Necklace
I have been making jewelry off and on for over 20 years. I like to use Milagros. After my bout with breast cancer back in 2014, I started making "healing" and "aches and pains" necklaces. I give a healing breast necklace to any of my friends or daughters' friends who are being treated for breast cancer. I have neuropathy caused by nerve damage from the chemo and working with jewelry findings (and quilting) helps keep the numbness away.
My other favorite is working with genuine turquoise beads which can get expensive. I lurk on Shop GoodWill and Ebay to see if I can win a turquoise necklace that I can take apart to use the stones.

Very nice. I especially like the shell pendant and the wire-wrapped earrings. nt
