About 'economic' and social issues [View all]

This distinction between "economic" and "social" issues functions as a maintenance mechanism for liberal ideology. By artificially separating the economic and the social, the liberal is allowed to examine the various social ills of capitalism without questioning the base assumption of capitalism itself.
