1. I disagree with the premise that being a Xian anything is a sign of people being good to others.

Quite the contrary. The very core of Xianity is based on an us-v-them mentality, with servitude to the powers-that-be elevated to a Stockholm Syndrome level. Couple that with the winner-and-losers core tenet of capitalism and there are no solutions to be found here.
