Placido DOMINGO crashed as a sexual harasser. I saw Jose CARRERAS once and he was disgusting, never acknowledged the college fanatics rapturously cheering in the audience, might have had nasal problems dripping throughout with a towel, walked off for a nasal break, and at the end left without a bow. Lennie BERNSTEIN humiliated him in rehearsal for a West Side Story thing. As for Liza, PAVAROTTI maybe was at a language disadvantage but Liza did her always generous mothering.
