What smells as good as fresh baked bread? [View all]

The 1962 Zenith MJ-1035.

Tubes glowing inside a wooden cabinet on a cold night, with cheerful music and talk filling the air with that rich tube sound.

The warmth from the tubes heats the wood just enough to give off a distinctive scent.

CFZM 740 AM Toronto, 50 miles across Lake Erie from me.

Real DJs, no syndicated simulcast playlist. No hate jocks.

* I tuned the dial to an f.m. stereo station to make the stereo lamp light up. This set has 12 tubes (the average for this time period is 5, 6 for a transformer set) and plays in stereo high fidelity.
