I had the wavy lines before I got diagnosed with retinal bleeding. I kept the Amsler grid on my fridge for years, always looking to be sure the symptom didn't come back.

You might want to ask your eye doctor if a glasses prescription with prisms might help if the wavy lines don't go away.

Not the same problem as you, but I ended up with slightly double vision after the problem I had in 2000. The quack told me I didn't have a problem. I knew what I was seeing, or how I was seeing, and ended up going to the Low Vision Center of Ohio. The eye doctor who saw me there tested my vision and determined that yes, indeed, I was seeing an object, and also a partial view of the object. She prescribed new glasses with prisms in the lenses. They solved the vision problem. I got everything free, and I loved her. She was kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. She saved my sanity.

My husband's uncle mentioned that he had prisms in his glasses, and then didn't need them any more, but he didn't know why he needed that kind of prescription. If he'd remembered, he would have been glad to tell me all about it

Hang in there! I'm so happy for your good news
