130. Don't flame me when you read this. Goodbye, Yellow Brick Road by Elton John.

May 29

I was in New York visiting my friend Lucy after college. Lucy’s parents had been up in Connecticut visiting and Lucy ‘s mom had picked mushrooms, which she cooked and served for dinner. Lucy declined to eat any, and her little brother declared that he despised mushrooms. They were very yummy, so I had two helpings. Couple of hours later, I was in the bathroom, violently throwing up. Lucy’s little brother was playing “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” over and over and over again, as junior and kids are wont to do. Not the whole album, just the one song. The next thing I knew I was in the hospital, along with Lucy’s parents.
Lucy’s mom had picked some wrong mushrooms.

Don’t get me wrong. I thought it was a good song, and still do. I just can’t listen to it anymore because even typing about it makes me slightly nauseous.
