my mac is wierd [View all]

all of a sudden my desktop icons were huge untill a few days ago.i figured there was a setting for that so i searched for it and found an solution to my problem. fixed the issue. now have the icons down to a managble sise but can still see them. i figured that would be using a lot of memory. so i unplugged everythin and then shutt down for a few secs. restarted. i also have another issue , clicking on files are shoing original location and not to display contents of said file . hem.
