In reply to the discussion: Let my backyard go to clover and I've never been happier [View all]eppur_se_muova

Unfortunately, this meant invasive Asian blackberries took over the back yard, and they are absolutely Hell to get rid of. Huge thorns that go right through leather gloves and long, branching stems that get entangled with each other. They are escapees from commercial cultivation, now illegal in some states. Much of the front yard is ground cover, not grass, and I'd like to replace all the grass with this plant which started growing here on its own. Probably need to plant some trees so the grass will not thrive in the shade.

The only thing I spray with dawn dishwashing liquid are those big red wasps that make nests

I have a bed with herbs like mint, oregano etc. The tiny wasps love them when I let them flower
