4. During Obama, the administration promoted "moderate" rebels

I know the person that overthrew Assad belonged at one time to a Wahabbi terror group but later led a "moderate" rebel group.

TBH I blame dictators like Assad for why groups like that existed because they provide recruiting propaganda for those groups so I don't know what it was like for armed rebels to alternate groups like that as there were many.

I'm fine with this but on a wait-and-see basis.
