We have become them.

(By 'we' I mean the country as perceived by the rest of the world.)

He has a real penchant for destroying beautiful things. I have hated the bastard since his midnight destruction of the art deco friezes on the Bonwit-Teller building to speed up construction of his ugly tower in NYC. The Metropolitan Museum of Art was going to conserve them, but that would have delayed demolition by about 2 weeks. He's always been an asshole.
