9. My H was laid off from GE in the late 80's. There was a federal program available that paid 100% of ones retraining

Tuesday

if you were laid off due to foreign competition. H qualified and the program paid for all of his graduate school expenses. He got a Masters of Public from Syracuse U and went on to a 30 year career with NYS. The program even paid for our move to Albany.
