4. Kind of funny hearing this from a Canadian point of view where we DO have federal control over federal elections

And so should you.....to avoid the 'hanging chads' and the multiple different systems in different States. Some weaker than others in some areas, some weaker in others. The inconsistency.

It makes sense in a security way to have a set of minimum standards and checks and balances that all States must abide by in order for the public to have confidence.

But in 'merica, if the federal government took over it, most of you would scream bloody murder.

Now of course Trump is attempting this for far more sinster reasons. So he can manipulate the results, and declare some districts results fraudulent etc. But it doesn't negate the fact that you really should have national standards across all States.
