My point is, they're just hanging out there waiting to be kicked into your nostrils. And the associated, debilitating pain. "Gee, I've got all this testosterone, yet I'm writhing on the floor in agony. Maybe I shouldn't have been so stupidly aggressive."

Besides the physical vulnerability that borders on ridiculous, in my years as a male, aggression and unthinking assertiveness have gotten me into the most trouble. Maybe we should change "ballsiness" to "hormone driven, thus stupid. Don't pay attention to them. The boneheads will get us all in trouble."
