The Artemis II crew captured this beautiful, high-resolution image of our home planet during their journey to the Moon. 🌍

If you zoom in super close, you can see the aurora borealis, and the aurora australis!

Details:

The left side of the image shows the Iberian Peninsula (Spain/Portugal) and Africa.

The aurora glowing in that region is the aurora borealis (northern lights).

The aurora on the right side is the aurora australis (southern lights).

This photo captured both polar lights in one shot! I find this incredible!
