12. As a rule, I don't "understand" things that are not true.

If I did, I would be MAGA.

The truth here is not complex, by any means, so even someone like me can "understand" it. But it is not as you claim so you might want to re-calibrate.

Everything I have read indicates that Gulf nations did not want Trump to attack Iran because it would have "catastrophic" consequences for their economies and regional stability. Further, it would leave them sitting ducks, which as it turned out was also true.

The fact that the U.S. did not bother to give them any advance notice to protect themselves does not sit well with them. There will be consequences for that too.

But now they are in the position of "in for a penny, in for a pound". They now have to protect themselves from a vengeful Iran. Their self-interest dictates urging the U.S. to finish the job.

But that is a far cry from your claim that they "actively encouraged Trump to attack Iran. Only those seeking a whitewashing of Israel's culpability in this mess and pointing it in a different direction would want to make such a claim that flies in the face of reality. Not saying that is you, but it's important to set the record straight, no? Truth and facts and all that.
