Do local agencies recognize that they risk being painted with the same brush that now has most of the public hating ICE agents? A few nights ago, I had a solicitation call from a state law enforcement, wanting funds for something or other. When I asked if the agency supported ICE, and he would not answer, I informed him that I would not support in any manner any state law enforcement agency until they made a public statement of non-support for ICE's illegal, abusive actions. It felt good to get it off my chest, and hopefully--if he received enough such opinions--he might relay the information to the underlying agency. One can always hope . . .
