2. I think it's especially unlikely because the entire roster of witnesses are magaworld's "Deep State"

I strongly suspect the point of the upcoming House investigation will be to try to show how the DoJ ignored and coddled Epstein until TRUMP finally had him apprehended and jailed, therefore he's the hero, and the DoJ had been hopelessly corrupt until 2025. IOW, it will turn out to not be a good-faith investigation to uncover the criminals, it's to blame Trump's enemies for not doing more, sooner, against Epstein, to further his "corrupt, weaponized DoJ" storyline.

Also the witnesses will be constantly put on the spot regarding why they never took any action against Trump despite accusations from a lot of unverified sources/tips/"Katie Johnson". They want the "Deep State" actors to have to go on record and say "we didn't act against Trump because we couldn't verify the allegations" so they can say "Ha, see, the DoJ never thought Trump did anything wrong". It won't matter that these two points are contradictory because the GQP Flying Monkeys don't give two shits about intellectual integrity, nor does any MAGA.
