who is trying to influence peers and get friends to choose their side in a squabble or break-up with a short-term romantic interest.
Sadly, more adults do this than one would imagine. I have relatives who have been long-since remarried but still engage in public social-media feuds with their ex-spouse and/or ex-inlaws... obsessed with dragging the other through the mud in arguments that have long since been legally settled and mostly forgotten by anyone who was aware at the time. But being "right" (or at least seen as being right) and having the imaginary upper-hand is all that's important to them. --- And those inlaws aren't too bright either. MAGA-lite.
