"37,660 people were deported in Trump's first month in office, including both removals and returns, far less than the monthly average of 57,000 deportations under Biden in 2024."
From DHS:
"The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) today announced record-breaking statistics with more than 527,000 illegal aliens removed under the leadership of President Donald Trump and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem."

So Trump is deporting about the same number of people as were deported under Biden. Perhaps more immigrants have chosen to leave the US "voluntarily" (If you run out of a burning building, are you really leaving voluntarily?)

Certainly DHS and ICE didn't have a sterling reputation before Trump, but there was no where near the level of chaos and terror that we see today. And we hear of massive detention facilities being built, by well-connected companies using public funds of course. Does it seem possible that all of this is just to be used against immigrants?
