When they were first issued, by employer bought a couple'a thousand bucks worth. Really. They lasted a few years and saved, probably an average of 3 or 4 cents a stamp by the time he got through sending monthly invoices.

I don't know if it was a good investment for him, but the post office lost about 15 cents per stamp at the end of his last roll of stamps.
