1. The "convinced enough to vote against it" doesn't make sense given that the discharge petition

itself requires an absolute majority of seats (not seated members), or 218.

If Pedo Protector Johnson could convince Massie, Bobo, Mace, MTG or a Dem to vote against it, why couldn't he just convince that person not to sign the discharge petition (and the vote would then never even happen)?
