2. I just read the Booker shortlist review.

Seeing this line, on sex, "There was oblivion there, and omethiing satisfyingly like violence as well." tells me that I won't be reading the book.

But I thank you for posting, because it reminded me to check out the Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest for this year, only to learn that it had been retired.
