I believe our wonderful governor, Laura Kelly (D), was instrumental in making this happen. The Department of Children and Families issued the following statement: ""Beneficiaries should have access to their full benefits by the end of the day on Friday, Nov. 7," DCF said in an update to its webpage about the shutdown. "All current Kansas beneficiaries will receive benefits on Nov. 7 instead of the typical monthly issuances that are staggered over a 10-day period according to last name."

Next door in Missouri? Not a dime.
