Tesla is foundering for a variety of reasonsmost of them related to the psychotic megalomania of Elon Musk. But quite a few of them are related to product quality and design.
Tesla market position in Asia and Europe has fallen off a cliff and sales have plummeted. Sales have also fallen sharply here in the US.
Long term prospects are grim.
So, sure give the man a pay package that can only be described as lunatic.
