I totally agree that no cardinals, bishops or priests should be speaking on politics of any kind. They need to shut up and stay out of it because the results have been disastrous.
More people have left the Catholic Church over priests' involvement in politics (especially MAGA politics) than any other issue. So few Catholics attend Sunday Mass anymore, compared to the 60's when I was growing up. And they can't keep the Catholic schools open for lack of student enrollments.
Look at what they're doing ... they're pushing people away in droves. I think Pope Leo finally gets it.
