I could forgive them if they voted for Trump in 2016. A lot of people didn't really know that much about Trump other than from The Apprentice, though it wouldn't have taken too much effort to find out what a truly horrible man he was.

But geez, after one nightmarish term, there is no excuse for anyone voting for him again. Meanwhile, the Biden administration dealt effectively with the pandemic and passed more progressive legislation than I've seen since LBJ. People were finally able to see the light at the end of the tunnel and yet 77 million people decided to rehire Trump, as well as his many bootlickers in congress.

Nope, damn near impossible to have any sympathy for them at all. Democracy has some very serious flaws, especially when people treat elections like they're voting for a contestant on American Idol. Maybe as a country, we don't deserve democracy.
