Regrettably there aren't any hurricanes threatening thousands.

Unfortunately, there aren't any major fires raging out of control at the moment.

I'm sorry to say there aren't any serial murderers on the loose, unless you count a President that ordered the random killing of people in a boat for reasons he can't manage to state.

We could cover the ongoing genocide in Gaza, but our corporate offices took that off the table.

We gave our best effort covering Taylor Swift's engagement, but after 36 hours of breathless coverage, there really isn't much to say.

Caitlin Clark just announced she is out for the season, so we can't even do our usual 24x7 "when will Caitlin play" thing.

So, we really need some camera-friendly news with lots of explosives, smoke, helicopters and stuff. You know, journalism. Portland, you say? We're on it.
