12. There are some people that, when they pass, it hits you in the gut...

tho you may never have known them personally. They're pieces of your youth, now laying shattered in the dust. I've missed several that we've lost over the last couple of years. Some of them I thought were terrific actors or singers, and I miss their voice in the current tense. But the one that hit me the hardest was Robby Steinhardt. That's when I knew I was past the "use by" date. His voice, his violin, his lyrics were so much a part of me. I couldn't have felt worse if I actually had known him personally. He was that big a part of my life from the time I was about 17 on. Some people, you just don't get over.

And then there are others you wish had passed on to "wherever" decades ago....
